Mixed Impression DJs and Entertainment
“The Ephratas”
April 21st, 2008 under JH School Dances. [ Comments: none ]

On Friday night, April 11th, 2008, MIDJ’s traveled to the Ephrata area to entertain the students at the Middle School and the Rec Center. The Middle School had the 6th grade students from 5 to 6:30pm and DJ Matt Haines had fun playing Limbo, and having a dance contest, and even the teachers got into a little bit. They followed that one up by having the 7th and 8th grade dance from 7 to 9pm.

In the meantime, the Rec Center had students from Ephrata and Cocalico Middle School for a fun night of dancing. It was a busy evening for Mixed Impressions, but a fun for both DJ Matt and Mark Haines!

Cocalico Senior Citizen Event
April 21st, 2008 under Special Events. [ Comments: none ]

On March 29, 2008, MIDJ traveled to Coclaico High School and entertained Senior Citizens in the area. The students at Cocalico High School invite the senior citizens of the area to come out to the school for games and dancing as well as a raffle of prizes at the end. It is a great event to allow the students of today to mingle with the students of yester-year.

Below we look right down the line as the young and the slightly older go back to do “The Stroll.”

Stroll

There was food, games and fun to be had by all young and old. It’s great to pull out the Big Ban classics and songs of the way back time. Check out a ton of pictures below of students and senior citizens, together or apart having a fun night. Mixed Impressions had a great weekend of fun!

Hershey 4 Diamonds Dance Marathon
April 21st, 2008 under HS School Dances, Special Events. [ Comments: none ]

This ranks as one of the most exciting events Mixed Impressions DJ’s Entertainment does year in and year out. In fact 15 years and still going strong. This year on March 28, 2008. This event was originated through Penn State University, it is fully known as:

THE FOUR DIAMONDS FUND

Conquering childhood cancer. Hershey High School was the first high school to follow in the footsteps of Penn State University to have a dance marathon to raise money for this wonderful cause. Katie Waybill (co-chair) of Hershey High School contacted us again this year to entertain the students for 12 hours! From 7:00pm to 7:00am. The true benefit is the money raised in this event. As you see below is the co-chairs for this year’s committee with the total raised for the 2008 Marathon.

MIDJ’s would encourage anyone checking this out who would like to make a donation to the Fund click on the link below. The money will go to fight for a cure for cancer in children.

DONATION

Mixed Impressions is honored to be a part of this great program, and to be the entertainment to the high school that started it all 15 years ago! Below is a picture of the t-shirt for this year’s marathon.

We would like to thank Hershey High School for giving us the opportunity to be a part of the Four Diamonds Dance Marathon. We have entertained at a few other schools for this very same function. It is such a great event and numerous area high schools are having “mini-thons.” But no one can take away from Hershey High School as being the longest running High School Thon!

Finally, we provided a larger than normal slide show of pictures from the Dance Marathon, becuase we want everyone to see the FUN that the students had throughout the night. Not only dancing, but with a list of fun events all night long! Thanks again Hershey!

Donegal Middle School
April 6th, 2008 under JH School Dances. [ Comments: none ]

One of two events of March 28th, 2008. DJ Mark Haines entertained the students here as he does all year long each month. Light show and all for these students to get down and get busy on the dance floor. Mixed Impressions DJ’s has a contract with the Middle School for dances all year long. We have had the pleasure of doing this for several years running.

Thank you Donegal, although we missed last month in February due to snow, we were back in March and we’ll see you again in April!

Manor Middle School
April 6th, 2008 under JH School Dances. [ Comments: none ]

On March 14th, 2008 we entertained the great students of Manor Middle School again. Part of the Penn Manor School district. (Must mention the fact that this is the alma mater for DJs Matt & Mark Haines). Such a great school to entertain for a dance. We bring in a nice little light show for the “atmosphere” for the students and then they just dance the night away.

Check them out below gettin’ “Low.”

As you can see the students make it easy for MIDJs to entertain, they just get into the dancing and have a fun time with it.

Here they are in unison doing one of the many dances they know to various songs we played.

What a great goup of students. MIDJs are looking forward to going back in teh end of May fro the 8th Grade Graduation Dance!

Kalinowski Birthday Party
April 6th, 2008 under Birthdays, Site Update. [ Comments: none ]

On March 8th, 2008 we traveled to the Lititz Academy of Dance for an exciting birthday party! What made this even more fun for Mixed Impressions DJs was the fact that it was a 70′s and 80′s theme for the students. They came dressed to impress!

Check out the birthday boy below. His retro Kiss t-shirt.

Now we have the entire gang dressed in their retro…

DJ Matt Haines had a blast with these students. We played some games with hula hoops, and some fun dances like the Cha-Cha, YMCA, Thriller, and other great classics. The students showed off their dancing styles all night! Check out more below.

Two events this Friday night. We were entertaining at the one and only Ephrata Recreation Center again. Another good night with a ton of students from Ephrata Middle School and Cocalico Middle School. Another successful dance for Mixed Impressions DJ’s.

DJ Mark Haines went to Manhiem Township Middle School for another great Fun Night. The students have a fun time with all kinds of events going on with the music being provided by Mixed Impressions Entertainment. Manhiem Township is a great school that we have been able to take one of our shows too a couple of times a year.

The Month of February
April 6th, 2008 under Site Update. [ Comments: none ]

We lost a few events in February due to snow, but that’s okay. March has been a good month and the outlook for April and May are great. We have been a little behind on the website but will certainly keep updating from here on out. Thanks to all who keep checking back in with us!
