On November 13, 2009 we started our first of many junior high dances at the Ephrata Recreation Center. They have two dances, one for 5th and 6th grade and then later for the 7th and 8th grades.

This brings students from both Ephrata and Cocalico. They meet up with friends and neighbors outside school. It’s a great event for the kids to get out and have fun and dance to the hottest music around right now. Mixed impressions have the opportunity to play all that fun music!

On October 16th we also entertained at Donegal Middle School, the first of many events for the Middle School. What a great crowd of students. DJ Mark Haines travels there every other month and plays the fun stuff for the kids to dance.

Thanks to Donegal Middle for having MIDJ’s back year after year. One of Lancaster County’s top DJ’s Mixed Impressions keeps it going.

On October 16, 2009, your Lancaster County DJs Mixed Impressions traveled to the 7th & 8th grade for an awesome tailgate party for the Homecoming Dance! We pumped these kids up and got them going before the game. Here below you see a full dance floor.

As you may see in other photos, it started off slow, but then again, this was the pep rally to pump them up for the football game! We even saw the dance routine by the Dance Club at the Middle School. Check out a few more pictures below.

Another year with Manor Middle School. October 2, 2009. These kids were wound up and ready to dance and have fun. You wouldn’t have thought this was the first dance of the year.

These students line it up to do the fun line dances as we do with all our junior high school functions. Manor Middle School has been very good to us, the students great, the faculty and administration outstanding and we just have an overall positive experience when we travel to Manor. Friday night, September 25th we started another year of entertaining at Centerville Middle School again. MIDJs have had an on-going contract with the school since the turn of the 21st century to put it bluntly. This is just a great school with fun kids that like to dance to the fun music we the DJs at Mixed Impressions play.

We get them going when we form a circle and allow the students who want to highlight their dancing skills to do just that. These are fun times and break the ice for students to show off. DJ Matt Haines provides a light show and lots of hot dance music. Thanks Centerville, and we look forward to the next dance in December.

On September 18, 2009 Mixed Impressions DJ’s traveled to Manhiem Township for a Pep Rally to get the kids all psyched and ready to go cheer on the High School football team. We did just that on this Friday night! It may have only been an hour and half, but we got them ready to go. Playing the hottest songs out andending the night evening with Black Eyed Peas… I Gotta Feeling. The kids left the school and had a feeling of victory thanks in part to MIDJs.

Every year Manor Middle School has a dance for only the 8th graders. How cool is that? MIDJs provide the music and fun as we do all year long for their dances. There was other events going on in the Millersville area this same night, so there was not a big turnout.

So, DJ Matt Haines got some hula hoops and we played some games and had fun with who was there. They had fun and ended the night among their friends to “Lean on Me” and formed a circle and closed out the night as you see below.

On a rare Monday event, Mixed Impressions entertained the graduating 8th graders from St. Joseph’s School in Chester County. They take the day and travel to Lancaster for a fun time at Willow Valley. They end the day with a nice dinner and dance. Mixed Impressions has the honor being the DJ to provide that dance music. DJ Matt Haines has been entertaining this group since the early 2000′s. It’s a great group of students that we play music and games with every year.

Thank you St. Joseph’s for another year.

On Friday, April 24, 2009, DJ Matt Haines headed to Ephrata Recreation Center for the final dance of the school year. Although a beautiful day out The Rec still filled the room. They split the dances with 5th and 6th grade in one dance and then 7th and 8th grade in the later dance. Thanks to Terry Hildebrand for having us come out and entertain for the monthly dances.

We would also note that MIDJs also entertained for Terry’s daughter for her wedding back in September of 2008.

On this same night DJ Mark Haines traveled to Hempfield High School and finished up the school year with a joint dance of both Centerville and Landisville Middle Schools 8th graders. It’s an event to introduce the students to each other and the high school. We closed out the year with Centerville DJing at all their events. Someday we would like the opportunity to get back with Landisville Middle.

Thanks to both Centerville Middle School and the Ephrata Rec Center having us throughout the 2008-2009 school year. We look forward to 2010. 

On April 17th, we finished another successful year with the Donegal Middle School. We entertained several events almost monthly during the school year. Thanks to Advisor Jessica Rose for having us throughout the school year. We have the future pleasure in August of entertaining at Ms. Rose’s wedding! MIDJ’s keep going back and now we added a wedding reception out of this too!
