On January 12, 2010, DJ Matt Haines headed to southern York County for what ended up being an incredible wedding reception. What an amazing evening of fun and entertainment. They made Mixed Impressions job easy! We got this started with the party props and it filled the dance floor!

This was the “storm” that followed the “calm” of our couple having their first dance as husband and wife.

It was a wonderful “storm” of dancing, fellowship, and fun among two great families. It was a pleasure being there and having been part of this reception. It just didn’t want to end, in fact we did go longer into the night. At one point we had our bride and a few guests pause for a picture for the DJ.

22 years experience with all types of entertainment. I met with this couple about two weeks prior to the wedding and had a nice meeting and knew what they wanted out of their DJ and they knew what MIDJs would provide. It was a great time had by all and you can a lot more fun in the bundle of pictures I have below. Anyone looking, feel free to let us know what you thought!

On June 5, 2010 we traveled to the Four Points Sheraton in Harrisburg for the Graduation / Prom event for students of the PA Virtual Charter School from all over the state. Another state wide event that Mixed Impressions Disc Jockeys has the honor of entertaining. Now for the second year in a row.

They have a large graduation followed by a dinner and this year finishing with a Prom for the students instead of just a general dance. The event hosted some 800 plus people with family and friends and students. Its a very elegant event with a wide range of students from all walks of life.

MIDJs just goes in and plays a variety of music for all to enjoy through the night. We do not have pictures for this event, however some may be found at the PA Virtual CHarter School website. We look forward to next year!

ANother great year of Proms and it comes to the wonderful yearly finale, that is the Ephrata Prom. SOme of these students weren’t even born when Mixed Impressions started DJing their Prom! We lost count, but somewhere around 18 years running! What an awesome school, what an awesome group of kids. Just look they get into it!

We have not only made business relationships with faculty at Ephrata but personal ones as well. They have always been a great group to work with and for over the years. We always carry an awesome light show for the students and at atmosphere that keeps them going throughout the night.

Thank you Ephrata for another great year and we are certainly looking forward to 2010 - 2011.

We ended a very busy April with a 16th birthday party for Alyssa! This was Friday night April 30th. She remembers DJ Matt Haines from her days dancing at the Ephrata Recreation Center. She said, “I gotta have him for my party,” so of course, I was there for the party! We see her below all of 16 years old dancing with one of her many friends at the party.

MIDJs just played all of today’s hottest hip-hop and dance music. It was a fun night by all. Check out some more pictures below.

Prom season has begun! On April 24, 2010 we traveled to the wonderful Willow Valley Resort for the LS High School Prom. MIDJ’s have had the pleasure of entertaining for Lampeter Strasburg Prom for several years. These students came to have a good time but they also have time to pause for a photo.

Both DJ’s Matt & Mark Haines were there to keep this party going all night. They did dance the night away. You’ll see that below!

Only two weeks ago we entertained at the tri-schools Mini THON but on this night, March 26, 2010, we entertained for the Hershey High School Four-Diamonds Mini THON. It has been the absolute pleasure for Mixed Impressions DJ’s Entertainment to play since the beginning for Hershey, and all area high schools for that matter. 17 years ago this event was started at the High School level right here in Hershey!

It started with about 30 to 40 students and went 18 hours. It was a success and has grown from there year after year. Now a couple dozen schools through out the state have Mini THONS to help raise money. Thanks to the Hershey High School and thanks for all the Four Diamonds does for the children and families.

Hershey High School started it all 17 years ago!

MIDJs has the pleasure of entertaining for some of the areas Mini-THONs to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund. Each year a few dozen middle and high schools sponsor Mini THONs to raise money to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund through the Hershey Medical Center. We did it again on March 13th, 2010!

The three schools come together as seen in this dancing picture and simply had a great time.

They had tons of extra activities throughout the night and ended it with some dancing provided by Mixed Impressions and then gave away prizes. Just a great event for all three schools and the way they came together was awesome. They do this every year “For The Kids” and they raise lots of money!

We have been hit hard this winter as every one else has as well. We lost an event on January 30th and then the next weekend were blasted with a huge snowstorm that knocked out two events one each night on February 5th and 6th. The Saturday night event was to take place at the State Capitol. We will be back!

We look to rebound and pick up events where we can and will. But please…… Snow, go away!

Mixed Impressions Disc Jockeys had a great 2009 and look to continue now in 2010. Although a little out of order, we have already promoted the business at the York Wedding Wonderland and have faired very well through the Show.

With events already booked here in 2010, the first 6 months are extremely busy. Several weddings and proms coming in the first 6 months. Our DJ’s, Matt and Mark Haines are ready to keep things moving forward toward a great spring.

We thank all the patrons that have worked with MIDJ’s over the past 20 plus years and in some cases those that still are presently working with Mixed Impressions! To all those who have future events with us. We look forward to bring you a great presentation with our music and memories to last as a result. Fo those of you looking for good quality entertainment with 20 plus years experience.

What a great day! Between myself and my associates we spoke to several hundred brides today! So to all of those that we spoke to, we say thank you! It was a pleasure. In fact,  I would also like to note that on the spot we contracted a total of 5 wedding receptions! That is a great number to actually do right at the Show. Again, I would like to say thank you!
