HAPPY NEW YEAR |

It is with high hopes that Mixed Impressions DJs begins another year that will be as successful as last. 2010 was a great year for us, with more weddings than ever and keeping the business very busy for only the two of us. That would be my brother Mark Haines, and myself.
As stated on this website (which needs to be updated), the business started in the late 80′s. We have enjoyed our highs and lows, but mostly highs. We have entertained in three states, entertained at several various state wide conventions at both the high school level and adult level.Â
With any good business, when you do good business, you get return business. Mixed Impressions DJs has had that pleasure of working with many businesses and schools over the years for years at a time. Schools like Ephrata, Palmyra, Penn Manor, businesses like Murray Insurance, and Dean Witter, PSBA, and fund raiser events like the 4-Diamonds.
We appreciate the business of all the referrals that we continue to get from our former clients. To all of you out there that Mixed Impressions DJs has entertained for in the past, we sincerely thank you. Again, we look forward to another great year in 2011. Keep those referrals coming and I wish all the newlyweds from 2010, and all our past clients all the prosperity in 2011! Â

Ephrata Rec Dance |

The year ended for MIDJs on December 17, 2010 at probably one of our best patrons for years. The Ephrata Recreation Center. Not only have they contracted us year after year for at least 8 dances through the school year, but also a couple of pool parties at the Ephrata Pool as well.
As we have stated before in the Blog, a lot of our business is through referrals, and that is another area the Rec Center has done for us. Not just birthday parties for the younger crowds but weddings too. Thank you Ephrata Rec!

It was truly an honor to entertain the fathers and their daughters at the annual Formal Dinner Dance. Although this event has been going on for over a decade, this is the first year that Mixed Impressions has entertained for this big event. What a great event. Just check out some of these fathers enjoying their time on the dance floor.

The daughters did show the fathers how to do the “dances” as you see in this picture where the fathers watched them do the moves to the Cupid Shuffle. However the fathers did join them for the Cha Cha and other fun songs! A wonderful meal was prepared by the Bent Creek Country Club and we simply had a fun night with the Fathers and Daughters. Check out some more pictures below.

MIDJs has the ability to bring students from area high schools from all over the state to one location and do this for them:

As you see, that is get the students ALL dancing! Although these students may not know each other as they enter this night, we just played the right mix of music and brought the fun. The students do the rest! Her eyou see a few posing juist a second so DJ Mark Haines can snap a picture.

This was just an overlal fun night and we kept the kids till the end which on this night was midnight! Check out some awesome pictures below.

On Sunday, September 19th, 2010, DJ Matt Haines had the pleasure of entertaining at Bent Creek Country Club for the 16th birthday party of Jeanette Lazusky. What a party it was for everyone! All were dressed to impress, including our host Jeanette. Check her out in the blue below with one of her many friends!

Mixed Impressions DJs had plenty going here this night, with a light show, glow sticks, and party props! But better than all of that, was the right music to fill a dance floor. But even better, the friends of Jeanette that were there to dance. Check all of them posing for the camera.

Bent Creek is a wonderful facility for a great event like this one. The Lazusky family was fun and the party was a blast. There was loads of fun dance music for everyone to enjoy. What a great event! Check out more fun pictures from this party below!

September 18, 2010, took us to the Rockford Plantation for an outside wedding under the tent. Once again, Mixed Impressions DJs played both ceremony music and reception music. It was a beautful day weather wise for the wedding and it just made for a great day and evening. Here we see Rick and Erin having their first dance as husband and wife.

DJ Matt Haines was like the Energizer bunny on this night. He just kept going and going and ultimately went for almost two hours extra time! But when you have a great crowd like you see below, it makes things easy for us!

Thanks to Ricky and Erin for a wonderful night and a lot of fun! Check out a ton of fun with more pictures below.

On August 7, 2010, Mixed Impressions DJs traveled to the beautiful Landis Valley for another outdoor wedding for Ashley & Jeremiah. What a beautiful day for a wedding reception and what a fun time by all. MIDJs even had the “Village People” stop by for a little show as you see below.

It was a good show! We also had our newlyweds that enjoyed their swing dancing as you see them getting into it below. They even brought in a swing dance teacher to help out some of the guests early on in the reception.

The “Barn” was decorated for this most wonderful occasion. Everyone had a blast. You can see some more pictures below including the dance teacher and others just swinging and dancing away! Best of luck to Ashley & Jeremiah in their future as a married couple!

On July 31, 2010, DJ Matt Haines with Lancaster County’s Mixed Impressions Disc Jockeys traveled to Conewago Manor Inn for the King / Waters wedding reception. What a beautiful facility for an outdoor wedding. Here we see our newlyweds in front of the grand house. It was just an awesome place with an awesome couple!

The reception was split with all the traditions of the reception being held there under the big tent. As you see below the dancing started there, but we packed up and headed to the Best Western in Harrisburg for a couple more hours of dancing.

Liz and Ricky were there and had some dances throughout the night on the dancefloor, the family and friends they had did too! What a fun crowd! MIDJs did a 3 time set up and tear down with ceremony sound, traditions music and MC, and then the dancing at the hotel. It was quite a night, but a great couple to entertain for throughout the day! Thank you Ricky and Liz and best of luck to you guys! Check out some more fun pictures below!
