Mixed Impression DJs and Entertainment
Solanco Class of 1989 Reunion
January 24th, 2010 under Special Events. [ Comments: none ]

Mixed Impressions DJ’s started the year off at the beautiful Fireside Tavern in Strasburg for the Solanco Class of 1989. A great crowd was a present for the fact it was 20 years. Surprisingly, still quite a few reside in the southern end of the county.

1989 was a good year for music, one of the biggest hits out of that time was Love Shack by the B-52s. Bon Jovi was big and plenty of others. We played a mix of music from the late 80’s till today’s hits too!

A good crowd, we had some dancing and plenty of reminicing. It was a good time had by all! We will have pictures coming.

But the biggest event of the afternoon was the Belly Flop Competition! Here is a tease of what you will see in the pictures.

Although, it may not be musically oriented, they simply enjoyed music being played throughout the afternoon! Thanks Penn Manor School District for another fun year of events at both the high school and middle schools. Check out this slide show in order, it will be much more appreciated that way!

Hempfield had great support from the school and faculty with over 70 teachers coming in throughout the night and around 400 students! They would like to double that for 2010! This is a “Battle 4 the Kids” and Hempfield played a big part in helping that battle. The great thing is the total amount raised as you see below!

Way to go Hempfield! On behlaf of Mixed Impressions, we had a blast too! The students welcomed us and we just kept the music going throughout the night, among the many activities the school had set up and running all night. Check out more pictures below.

That’s right, three great Lancaster County schools got together for one great cause! The 4 Diamonds Fund. For those that don’t know, 4 Diamonds is an organization that raises money to fight the battle of childhood cancer.

On March 28, 2009, the day after the Hershey THON, we traveled to Garden Spot High School, the sponsor school, and they were joined by students from Cocalico and Ephrata for a fun filled evening of dancing and games all for a great cause.

Check the fun of dancing below.

March 12th, 2009 under Special Events. [ Comments: none ]

We love these events! On February 27, 2009, we had our fun at Palmyra for a 4- Diamonds Fund which is an awesome cause for children. The 4-Diamonds Fund is a fund set up to fight and conquer childhood cancer. Click on the link above. As a result, many area schools have sponsored “Mini-Thons” to raise money to help fight the battle. Palmyra has done just that here again in 2009. Mixed Impressions had the pleasure of being part of this and entertaining the students with music and karaoke throughout the night.

Above you see the t-shirts made for the event that many of the students wore throughout the night. Almost 250 students participated in this great event! Way to go Palmyra! They had games from board games, to games in the gym, they had “spoof games” like the Newlywed Game and Family Fued. They had volleyball, basketball, handball. The list goes on. Plenty of fun activities for all the students to enjoy. All for the purpose of raising funds for the 4-Diamonds.

That they did! Palmyra raised over $22,000.00 to help benefit the fund! Again… Way - to - go - Palmyra!

Lorenz 50th Wedding Anniversary
February 22nd, 2009 under Special Events. [ Comments: none ]

How appropriate that on Valentine’s Day we traveled to the Revere Tavern and entertained for Joan and Bob Lorenz’s, 50th wedding anniversary! Although we don’t do many of these, it is always fun to see the wonderful families of people like the Lorenz families.

We played some games and music, and had some questions for the couple but I have to note the biggest event was when I played the Anniversary Dance backwards. We started with all couples married the longest to come to the dance floor. Our longest marriage was 63 years and going strong. Till we got to the 50th, we already had 8, yes that is 8 couples happily married for more than 50 years.

It wasa great afternoon! Congratulatoins to Joan and Bob for many more years!
